KYS Business School (KYSB) is committed to supporting the nation’s aspiration to achieve the developed nation status by 2020. KYSB was set up to encourage more students to pursue professional accountancy qualifications. This is a timely act as Malaysia is in need of more qualified chartered accountants in order to drive Malaysia’s economic growth.
KYSB is working very closely with New Zealand universities and a reputable international overseas accounting body (CAANZ) to assist students in obtaining their career goals. The idea of sealing a collaboration agreement between KYS International College Sdn. Bhd. and the New Zealand Consortium Universities marks the start of a new and unique transnational educational venture between Malaysia and New Zealand.
Effective international educational collaborations have proven successful in;
- Raising the standards of education in Malaysia
- Building quality human capital
- Highlighting Malaysia as an educational hub in the region.
The setting up of KYS Business School and the introduction of the KYS New Zealand Chartered Accountancy Pathway Programme (NZCAP) aim to achieve all the above while creating a closer relationship between the two countries along these educational initiatives.
Even if students may not choose to complete the chartered accounting professional qualification, the completion of Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree for will mean a production of qualified personnel to actively participate in the economy and the commercial world.
